Co-operations
Theater der Welt 2008 is on the teaching curriculum of the Fachhochschule Merseburg about two semesters. Master students of the professor Bettina Brandi (supported by Sylvia Pendzik) develop cultural, media and educational projects which creatively accompany and investigate the festival for nine month.
The study course “fashion” of the Hochschule für Kunst und Design “Burg Giebichenstein” (Prof. Joachim Schielicke and Thomas Greis) develops own creations and impressions of the strange cultures which are united by Theater der Welt. The theme is “Procession”. By showing their works during the prelude, the 150 students of different age-groups accompany the percussion groups of the Werkstatt der Kulturen. The media class of the Burg Giebichensten (Prof. Ute Hörner and Prof. Dieter Hofmann) participates together with the Institut für Theaterwissenschaften of the Universität Leipzig (Dr. Martina Bako) in the ITI project “escalators”. This work in progress is also accompanied by the Institut für Medienkommunikation of the Martin-Luther Universität Halle-Wittenberg.
