Citizens’ Dinner

Everyone for themselves – what happened to solidarity?

A citizens’ dinner with international guests as part of the Equity Forum / Theater der Welt
The pandemic has given us something in common all over the world. The current state of global solidarity will be the subject for discussion between visitors to the Theater der Welt festival and international artists and experts over a “Bürgerdinner” (citizens’ dinner).  Mike van Graan will attend on a live link from South Africa. The playwright was appointed to advise the country’s first ever Minister of Arts and Culture following the end apartheid.  Together with Stefan Fischer-Fels, Artistic Director of the Junges Schauspiel, Miriam Owuso from Theater der Welt’s communications team and the Nigerian theatre-maker Joshua Alabi will chair a special edition of this popular format. There will also be a chance to see an excerpt from Is My Microphone On?
The Citizens’ Dinner will be held in English.
