Siren Song immerses us in sound. Conceived as a fleeting open air installation and embedded in the urban architecture of the city centre, Siren Song invites passers by to come together in a moment of pause. The most modern alarms and security technology are used here for once not to declare a state of exception but to generate extraordinary sonic beauty, unconventional spatial perception and to link architectural structures facing each other in a new experiential space. German soprano Clementine Schwandner, Yorta Yorta soprano Deborah Cheetham, Inuk singer Tanya Tagaq and German vocalist, composer and sound artist Ute Wassermann will take the principal vocal roles in this composition by the Australian artists Byron J. Scullin, Thomas Supple and Hannah Fox, which will unfold around the Gustaf-Gründgens-Platz over the 18 days of the festival.
Das Festival Theater der Welt would like to thank the Dreischeibenhaus, the Kö-Bogen, Peek & Cloppenburg, the Hofgartenpalais, the Ministry of Finance of North Rhine-Westphalia, the office and commercial building Schadowstraße/corner Bleichstraße and Markus Lattekamp for their special support.
