The Story of the Story

Netherlands
Theatre
Yoo-hoo! Is anybody there? Is there a story anywhere round here? The audience is excited, the curtain goes up and the stage is – empty! There are just a couple of people sprawling around in a corner at the back. Nobody knows who they are … watch out, they might be after your bag or your shoes!

The Story of the Story is a stage show for everyone aged 8 and over about …? Well, if you can tell us what it’s about after- wards, good for you!

This is a theatrical event for all the family, performed with bubbling enthusiasm and imagination to delight audience members both large and small. It is directed by Jetse Batelaan, »The wildest freethinker of the Dutch theatre«, whose works are famous for their strong visual images and cunning, absurdist humour.
